Dont confuse the "temple touch thermometer" with forehead thermometers that are strips or use infrared/scanners. Those are not really that reliable say the experts.

I use my ReliOn Temple Touch on my newborn because it is easier than trying to get his temperature rectally or under the arm. Plus, it only takes a few seconds as opposed to digital thermometers which can take around a minute.
