i think the lines closest to the outside of the earth
Four European countries extend beyond the Arctic Circle. They are Finland, Norway, Sweden and Russia. Iceland also extends above the Arctic Circle and is often considered a European nation.
Oh honey, let me break it down for you. The 5 most important parallels of latitude are the Equator, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of Capricorn, Arctic Circle, and Antarctic Circle. They divide the Earth into different climate zones and help us navigate our way around this spinning rock we call home. So, pay attention to these lines if you don't want to get lost in the sauce.
Scandinavia's cold climate is mainly due to its high latitude, which results in less direct sunlight and colder temperatures. The region is also influenced by the North Atlantic Current, which brings cold water from the Arctic and contributes to its climate. Additionally, the presence of large bodies of water surrounding Scandinavia further exacerbates its cold weather conditions.
The midnight sun occurs in places within the Arctic Circle during the summer months. This phenomenon happens because the Earth's axial tilt allows the sun to stay above the horizon for 24 hours, creating continuous daylight.
I think that they have all of the seasons that Canada has but just colderbecause it's above the Arctic cirlcle IN Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The North Pole is the northernmost point on the earth. It is where the theoretical lines of longitude converge (meet). The North Pole is located on a floating ice shelf known as the Arctic Ice Shelf. It is not a country, an island or a continent.
The arctic fox lives in a cold, harsh climate with snow and ice, in treeless areas.
Not 100% sure, but because of the axial tilt of the earth I think it occurs north of the Arctic Circle, in the northern regions of Canada, Alaska, Siberia, Scandinavia & Russia.
Scandinavia has a cold climate because they are close to the north-pole. But because of the Gulf-stream its not permanent ice like it is at the same degrees in North-America.
There are about two million people in 7.7 million square miles. I don't think that qualifies as very populated. Everyone has to live somewhere.
It is due to the Earth's incline which I think is 24.5 degrees. As the Earth orbits around the Sun, different locations of our planet receive more sunlight, that is why we have seasons. On June 21st, It is the summer solstice, so the Northern Hemisphere receives more sunlight thus it is summer. The Arctic Circle is leaning towards the sun 24 hours so the sun is always present in the horizon. See related link.
