Chopping board/ cutting board
I am forced to be a little sarcastic on this one but a chopping board is used to chop things. Vegetables,fruit,chicken,meats etc.
Every cook uses a chopping board. ( or should )
Depends on the color of vegetables you are chopping ... I would always use a board that gives a contrast so I can locate small parts easily. Don't use black ... black boards look like you are planning to kill someone. Never use multicolored. Leftovers are harder to spot. Maybe use white ... its easy to clean and looks tidy, too.

Yew?? Really?? Are you five years old? And no I can not be used as a chopping board.
Once the fire is out and the board is cool, you can use it, but you will have a melted edge or if it was in the center you will have a hole.
it can help keep your surfaces in good condition when cutiing something with a knife and also since chopping boards are especially for food then its more hygienic (:

The food which is cut on blue chopping boards is Fish
I do not agree they are bad to use. I have one for meat and one for other products and clean them both frequently. I have no problems with that.
