# Collect materials for your collage, and find inspiration in them. #* Like scraps of paper and other flat materials such as newspaper and magazine clippings, shopping bags, photographs (or photocopies of photographs), wallpaper, and foil. #* You can also use stuff like string, beads, feathers, and fabric. #* Collage may encompass images, text, solid colors, or a mixture of these. You might like a recognizable image or word, or simply a suggestion, color, or texture. #* Use whatever stuff you have. Don't bother trying to buy extra things you've seen in other collages just recycle things make it unique.

#* Cut different shapes for both words and images. Experiment with round and straight edges, regular and irregular shapes. # Try tearing materials, too. The rough, random edges give parts of your collage a different character than cutouts. # Arrange the items on your background. You can arrange the whole thing, then glue, or you can arrange as you go if you prefer a more spontaneous approach. # #* Glue underneath pieces before pieces on top. #* You don't have to cover the whole surface if you don't want to, and not every piece has to be glued flat on the collage. You can fold or crumple pieces of paper, to get interesting textures and reliefs. # Let the finished collage dry.

# Add any finishing touches. Do you want to apply a thin layer of paint or write or stamp over parts of it? Do you want to add textures, such as scratches? What about adding a third dimension, such as fabric, beads, beans, rings, or the like? # Seal the collage if you want by brushing a diluted glue mixture over the top of everything.

you will need something for the back like some cardboard, paper, et cetera. you will need glue/tape to hold it all together, paper (optional) for a backround or just to make it more artistic, and pictures. lots and lots of pictures. scrapbook items like stickers, ribbons, etc. will also make it lok better. to make: put it all together however you please.
