When dressing for a modeling open call, it is important to dress simply. Agencies want to see you, not your clothes so this is not the place to try to make a fashion statement. The typical "outfit" to wear to open calls include:
- Dark, plain, form fitting jeans (make sure they are clean with no rips, excessive pockets, and free of brand names and other distracting designs)
- Solid colored, form fitting tank top or baby tee in a color that goes well with your skin tone. Again stay away from logos, brand names, tops with pictures or images on them, and stay away from busy patterns.
- Heels that are solid in color and simple. Black or nude is fine. No loud colors and no huge platform heels. Wear simply designed heels.
- Keep your hair simple and wear it pulled back or down, as long as it is out of your face.
- Wear little to no makeup (no makeup is best)
For male models, keep it basic as well. Clean, dark jeans that aren't ripped up, clean solid colored shoes (sneakers are okay as long as they are nice and clean), and a shirt that shows the definition of your torso--but not tight.
