This applies to most hunting situations:
orange shooting vest (with a game pouch, good quality hiking boots, brush pants or an old pair of jeans, gloves(if cold), orange hunting hat, and a belt.
Also bring a backpack with extra clothing if it gets cold. Pack a survival kit, multiple knives (minimum of 2), a lighter, lots of string (different sizes and strength), a compass and map of the area, your various licenses you will need. And of course a gun, for quail, a shotgun any gauge will do fine.
