The quadriceps femoris is a group of muscles that, basically, do pretty much the same thing for the leg that the triceps does for the arm.

If you're sitting in a normal position in a chair, your quadriceps is relaxed; if in this position you were to raise your lower leg and foot without moving your upper leg, the muscle you would be using to do so is the quad.

What language speak do you?? If you mean quadricepsyou should have put it. They are the upper leg muscles which allow the legs to bend.
