Judicial Review is when a court, in hearing a case, considers whether the law that applies
is valid or consistent
with overarching
legal requirements.
For example, the US Supreme Court once applied Judicial Review to assess the law establishing a national income tax and found that the Constitution (the supreme law of the land) did not permit the Congress to establish such a tax. Therefore the law was null and void, and unenforceable. A Constitutional Amendment was then passed, that permitted the establishment of a national income tax. After than, any judicial review would find that the Congress had been empowered to create such a tax.
Judicial Revue is a misspelled attempt. Judicial Review is the power of the courts to review actions by other branches of government and assess the constitutionality of those actions. So when the U.S. Supreme Court looks at a law passed by the state of Nebraska and determines that the Nebraska law is unconstitutional, that is an exercise of judicial review.
