I think it's a symbol or mark that showing the standard of an amount of precious metal that used in that jewelry. Every country has their own minimum unit that should be used on a jewelry such as
333 which is 8 carat in Germany
375 which is 9 carat in the UK
417 which is 10 carat in the USA
Metal that is plated in gold can not have the stamp.
The XX stamp on gold means 20 karats.
An S inside a gold ring is the maker's stamp. If the ring were not gold and had an S inside it would stand for sterling silver.

It stands for 14 kt gold and the piece is from Europe usually .That is the national symbol to say it is 14 kt gold .
KP means gold on vintage pieces. KTP means plated. I’ve never seen KPT before. It might also be the jeweller’s stamp?
