Look for "ACC" (accesory)
It is located under your hood in the main fuse box it should be a 20 amp fuse. It is an acc fuse.
Accessory. Essentially it's the first position when you move the key. it goes ACC (accessory), then ON, finally start (crank) The fuse box is just letting you know when the fuse will have power when your down there testing for it.
You will often find a diagram of the fuse box for the 1988 Chevy Cheyenne in inside cover for the fuse box. This fuse box is located on the driver's side of the vehicle under the dash. The cigarette lighter fuse is generally marked as ACC.
ACC is an acronym for Automatic Cruise Control. If you are getting an "ACC Reset" Message, you can try cleaning the sensors, or try pulling the ACC fuse and leave it out for about 30 minutes of drive time and replace the fuse. That mat reset the ACC in the computer.
Check the fuse first, its in the fuse box under the steering wheel, near driver's left knee. The fuse of interest is the one labeled "ACC".

The fuse box containing your low amp fuses for stereo dashboard etc is in the drivers footwell, too the right of the acc. pedal and about four inches above the lower level of the dash, very awkward position you will need a torch and will see the fuse layout on the fuse box cover.
To any fuse in the fuse box that turns on and off with the key switch like the windshield wipers. Have you tried the radio fuse?
look at the fuse box and find a acc circuit,If you have a test light check to make sure that the acc terminal you use is a keyed hot.When the key is on it will light the test light and when the key is turned to the off position it will turn the test light off.Make sure you use an inline 15 amp fuse.You can use a spade connector to plug into the fuse box acc terminal.THe ground wire can be connected to any metal bracket under the dash as long as it it a good clean ground.Most fuse boxes have 2 or 3 acc circuits.
That is the Air Bag System fuse.
