Aslan tells Lucy lots of things.

The White Witch is fighting Aslan when Lucy and Susan arrive. She is trying to prevent Aslan from reclaiming his rightful place as the true ruler of Narnia.

Lucy and Susan cannot untie Aslan because the magic involved in the ties is too powerful for them to break. The ties are part of a deeper magic and can only be broken by someone who is willing to sacrifice their own life in exchange for Aslan's.
The children need to go to the Stone Table in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" to meet with Aslan and discuss the impending battle against the White Witch. Aslan uses the Stone Table as a place of counsel and decision-making for important matters.
Lucy was with Aslan while he breathed life back into the courtyard creatures.
Aslan asked Susan and Lucy to walk beside him and be brave as they followed him to the Stone Table, where he would face his fate. He requested them to be close to him and not look back.

They are to be symbolic of the women who were at the tomb when Christ was resurrected from the dead.
