What does Aslan tell the children about future trips to Narnia?

In the most recent movie, Aslan tells the 4 children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy that the 2 oldest (Peter and Susan) would never return to Narnia. But Edmund and Lucy will return. This was told in the movie - Prince Caspian.

Aslan tells the children that they will not return to Narnia because they are getting too old. He assures them that they will find their way back to him in their own world and that they need to learn to know him by another name.

∙ 11y agoIt depends on which character, as well as in what point in the series. Lucy was always close to Aslan, and she never doubted him. Edmund believed in Aslan more as the story went. Susan always had a bit of trouble believing in him, and as she became an adult, she thought he was just a fairy tale they made up. Peter was skeptical at points in the story, but overall believed in Aslan.

Susan and Peter can't return to Narnia because they have grown too old to enter that world as the magical portal only allows children to pass through. The rules of Narnia dictate that once they have reached a certain age, they are no longer able to access Narnia through the wardrobe.
