Brian puts aside the hatchet in the survival pack with a strange feeling of respect and awe, as he realizes the tool's importance and value in helping him survive in the wilderness. He is struck by the power of the hatchet in providing both protection and the means to gather food and build shelter.
In the book "Hatchet," Brian put aside his gut feelings of hesitation and panic when he had to use his hatchet to cut into the tail of the plane in order to access the survival pack. Despite feeling queasy and fearful, he was able to push through his discomfort and focus on the task at hand.
When Brian finds a radio transmitter in the survival kit of the wrecked airplane, he tries to use it, but thinking it doesn't work, tosses it aside. However, it turns out that the signal was found by a small airplane, who comes to rescue him.
In the novel hatchet the best parts was when Brian swims across the lake to get the emergency supplies from the plane. I think the best part is after he goes home, when he's comparing his life then with the life he lived after the plane crashed.
Connotation refers to the feeling associated with a word, aside from its dictionary definition. A word with a neutral connotation gives neither a positive nor a negative feeling.
The Resolution to Hatchet is when Brian gets the survival pack and inside is a radio transmit er he pushes buttons and thinks it is broken but it sends a message to a plane flying over and he is saved
