Gretel (Bruno's older sister), on the other hand, did know that it was a concentration camp. 'Brainwashed' by the private tutor and propaganda, she was not against the idea of putting Jews e.o in those camps. Though just like most Germans she did not know about the horrifying situations in the concentration camps.
