HOWEVER, there is also a paid version of COD Elite, called Elite Premium. This allows the COD player to get the DLC early. I'm not exactly sure what it costs, but in my opinion it's a bit of a rip off.

The COD Elite gives you a huge data profile about your online stats, matches etc. If you do not have xbox live, there are no stats to gather.
