Cassius does not like that Antony was granted the favor to speak at the funeral. Cassius does not trust Antony.
Cassius does not trust Antony.
The favor that Antony asks of the conspirators is to speak at Caesar's funeral. They eventually let him, however Brutus gives him guidelines/restrictions that he must agree too or else he will not be allowed to speak at the funeral.
To deliver Caesar's eulogy (funeral speech)
He doesn't like him because he's a tool used by Caesar, bowing to his every whim. He wants to kill him at a point but Burtus explains that it's not in the party's best favor to look like butchers when all they want to do is take out Caesar.
He did not try not to offend the conspirators. During Caesar's funeral, Antony made accusations against them and named and shamed them. He also read Caesar's will which left most of his property to the people. The people became enraged and rioted. Caesar had been very popular with the middle and lower classes. He was seen as the champion of the people.
there relationship had love and passion, and their relationship ended when Mark Antony committed suicide thinking that Cleopatra was dead. When Cleopatra found out, she went to her tomb and used asps to commite suicide. That's the romantic version of their story. The reality was very different: Cleopatra and Marc Antony had a political alliance. Both used the other to further their own ends and ambitions. Cleopatra used sex, money and luxury to seduce Antony into granting favors to Egypt. Antony used his power as a Roman triumvirate to amass an army for military ventures and ultimate victory over Octavian. Antony needed Cleopatra's wealth to finance his undertakings and Cleopatra needed Antony's political authority to further Egypt's (and her own) interests. The "love" story is a hyper overrating of their relationship. If you study it closely, you will see that Cleopatra only had her children with Antony after he had granted her some favor. Even her death was a self-serving event.
Marc Antony and Cleopatra were political allies. Cleopatra seduced the vulnerable Antony in order to gain political favor. Romantics have built up their relationship into a love affair, but in reality it was hardly that. When the rift between Octavian and Antony deteriorated into war, Cleopatra was blamed and used as an excuse for the war. Cleopatra and Antony were defeated by Octavian and they both committed suicide.
That he be allowed to take Caersar's body to the marketplace and make a speeche to the commoners
kind of because he was suffering and they didn't because they wanted to become a republic that's why they killed him. by,?
Hannah is a Hebrew name meaning "he has favored me". It is usually understood that the "he" refers to God and the "favor" is the granting of a child.Tenesse.
yes Cassius forged letter and threw them in Brutus' house knowing that Brutus cares about the people and will join them. (this will bring the favor of Brutus and as Cassius believes the people) who will believe that Caesar's death was needed. The crowd is really dumb since they believe anyone who sounds convincing
Marc Antony killed Arsinoe as a favor to Cleopatra. Cleopatra convinced him that Arsinoe was about to start a revolution against her and if that happened, Antony would not be financed in his wars. It is possible that his was true, as Cleopatra was not popular with the Alexandrians and Arsinoe had many sympathizers. Now Cleopatra herself could not order her sister's killing because Arsinoe was under the protection of Rome. It could only be a Roman in authority who could do this and Antony was the Roman authority in the east.Marc Antony killed Arsinoe as a favor to Cleopatra.
