What does Christianity say about seeking knowledge?

Seeking TRUE knowledge and making application of it in wisdom, is mentioned often in The Bible.
One scripture that comes to mind is at John 17:3where is says:
"This means EVERLASTING life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ". (1 Timothy 2:3&4)(Colossians 3:9&10)
So our eternal life depends on seeking AND APPLYING knowledge about God and his son....(Matthew 7:21-27),( 2 Peter 1:5-8)(John 13:17)
James 1:5-7 says that God will gladly give us the wisdom we seek.
God WANTS us to seek true knowledge and wisdom, and at Matthew 7:7 we're told to "Keep on asking, and it will be given YOU; keep on seeking, and YOU will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to YOU. "

Though 1 Timothy 6:20&21 indicates that there is such a thing as 'FALSE knowledge', which is death dealing(Prov 15:28).
TRUE WISDOM is something to be searched for and we are told to 'acquire UNDERSTANDING' from God, and Highly esteem it Proverbs 4:5-8
