It sounds like a maker's mark indicating who made the ring and that it's 14k, or a little over 50% gold.
i have a gold ring with ING stamped on the inside , what does that mean ?
What does lr inside a band of a ring mean
It stands for Monetary Conditions Index. I know very little on the subject, but it is relevant with the economic worth of the ring.
What does it mean
17 stamp on ring what is this
it can mean IV or VI which means 18ct/18 karats in arabic
On most 18KT jewelry you will see a small stamp on the inside of the band identifying it as just that "18KT".
It means that the band is 14 karat white gold. In new condition its worth between 60 and about 300 dollars for the band alone without a stone in it.
A ring to be considered gold must be 10k or above and stamped inside the band of the ring 10k, 14k, 18k. If it isn't stamped more than likely it is not real gold. If in doubt about the value of a ring take it to a jeweler who can tell you about it.
The size is engraved on the inside of the band opposite the power band symbol. also the hohogram will change when moved.
"18K" should be stamped on the inside of a ring band or near the clasp of a bracelet or necklace if it is 18 karat gold. No stamp may mean it is custume jewelry or the stamp may be worn off. A jeweler can authenticate a piece for you if you are unsure.
925 is a purity mark for sterling silver, meaning that the metal is 92.5% silver with 7.5% other metal (usually copper).
