"there is a door and..."
Either voici une porte if you show one door or il y a une porte if you describe a place where there is one door
Il porte un manteau is French for 'he wears a coat'.
On dit "Il porte une chemise blanche" en français.
Il porte in French means "He wears" in English.
he is wearing a shirt.
If you mean wear as in 'i wear clothes', it is 'porter'.
'Il porte' (He wears and He is wearing are the same in French. Don't worry, I needed to get my head around it too :P Suppose it's about context... )
il y a un chanteur ou une chanteuse there is a singer or a singer
il porte un chapeau
il y a une grande plage means there is a big beach
Il a une tête
It is a French word. Tricky because it has many meanings. You can say 'Il est de taille' meaning colloquially 'he's a big fellow.'
