Jeep does not stand for anything
i.e. letters J E E P have no meaning.
However, the word Jeep is based on the
military abbreviation of GP which sounds
like jeep, and means General Purpose
because it was a general purpose vehicle.
Jeep stands for GP (general purpose vehicle).
It really has no real meaning but is just a model designation. Some think if means Jeep King but that is only speculation. The only one of these that ever had a real meaning was CJ which did stand for Civilian Jeep.

The initials 'TJ' do not actually stand for anything, other than a way to separate year models (YJ, TJ, JK, etc.). The last Jeep initials that actually stood for anything were CJ (Civilian Jeep).

Jack up the jeep, place a jack stand under the axle, loosen and remove the lug nuts and pull the wheel off.
Nothing, it is just the body code Chrysler assigned to that vehicle.

F stands for the gasoline use back in 1954 and the j stands for jeep
Jeep did not make Wrangler for model year 1996. ... Exactly! I thought this was a trick question. The Jeep Wrangler (YJ) was made from 1987 through 1995. In 1996, Jeep gave the the Wrangler a complete overhaul and in 1997 the Wrangler was re-released as the TJ and now known as the JK. I guess the powers at Jeep listened to the people when they said how much they hated the SQUARE headlights! By the way, what does JK stand for? Just Kidding?
It doesn't actually stand for anything. It is just the body code Chrysler assigned to the 1997 through 2006 Wranglers.
For a soft top, I like Bestops Supertop. They offer a good quality and stand behind their product.
If the Jeep is setting level there should be no tension on the rear sway bar. Also, it should not matter if the Jeep is on the ground. The sway bars on the Jeep Cherokee simply pass through a bushing and transfer force through leverage from one side to the other. hth
