It was Peter. Peter knew who Jesus was, the Son of God.
A:In the synoptic gospels, Jesus first met Peter and his brother Andrew as they were fishing at the Sea of Galilee. It is in John's Gospel that Peter was introduced to Jesus: Andrew was following Jesus and ran to tell Peter, who came and joined them.

when Jesus was arrested peter tried to protect Jesus and peter then sliced off the mans head who was attacking Jesus. Jesus got angry from that told him off and healed the man who was trying to attack Jesus.
At John 20:24-27 Jesus told THOMAS to put his finger in the wounds.
Jesus asked his disciples, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ." Peter, according to this passage, believed that Jesus was the Messiah.
Jesus found Peter by the Sea of Galilee, where Peter was fishing. Jesus called Peter to follow him and become one of his disciples. Peter left his fishing nets to become one of Jesus' closest companions.
It was Peter. Jesus asked him who Peter thought He was. Peter answered that Jesus was the only Son of the living God. Then Jesus told him (Peter), that he would be the foundation of the new church (Christianity).
