There is no suggestion in the gospels that any of the disciples ever knew about Jesus converting water into wine. In fact this story was entirely unknown until reported in John's Gospel, which was written anonymously around the end of the first century and which scholars say could not have been written by one of the disciples. In any case, there is no suggestion that any of the disciples was present at this private wedding.
John's Gospel demonstrates that Jesus was able to perform any of the miracles previously attributed only to the pagan gods. This account shows that, just as Dionysis was reportedly able to turn water into wine, so was Jesus able to do the same.
the blood of jesus christ he gave to his disciples
Well We do Know they ate the body and blood of Jesus Christ at the Last Supper. There are other stories about the fish, and other kinds of bread, but all we do know is the bread and wine of Jesus Christ. Welcome.
The last meal Jesus spent with his Apostles is called the Last Supper, consisting of only bread and wine. Jesus said a blessing, saying that the bread was the bread of life, and the wine was Jesus' blood. If you go to a Catholic mass, there will be something called a communion, where you take the blessed bread and wine and drink it.
John 2:1-3 - On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine." [NKJV]
He told them that he was going to die on the cross for their sins.
Beside praying, and giving both the bread and the wine to his disciples in the last super. Jesus also washed the feet , and wiped the feet of the disciples.
Yes Jesus did perform a miracle before he went and called his twelve disciples. He had changed the water into wine at the wedding feast in Canna.
During the Last Supper when Jesus shared the bread and the wine He said, "As often as you do this, do so in rememberence of Me."
Jesus broke some bread and said to the disciples this is my body and then he got some wine and said drink this, this is my blood.
John 2:11 - This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. [NKJV]
The chalice is used in Holy Communion (Eucharist) to hold the wine. Before he died on the cross, Jesus instituted a remembrance for himself, involving bread and wine. He said that the bread represents his body, which would be broken for his disciples, and the wine represents his blood, which would be poured out for his disciples. This pre-figured event happened a couple of days later, when Jesus died on the cross, wherein his flesh was torn, and his blood was spilt.
Jesus asked his disciples to eat bread and drink wine in commemoration of the sacrifice of his life, according to scriptures.
