If the ring is gold, it means it is either 8 or 9 karat gold.

Have a ring RJ 8 marked inside. The 8 refers to ring size. Am searching RJ myself.
Are you sure the 8 is not a nine as this would refer to sterling silver (925 parts per thousand) & that the stones set into the ring are cubic zirconia's
