The 'Aten' was scribed as a solar discus on top of several image representations of deities in ancient Egypt. The 'Aten' was thought to be a sphere of energy with characteristics. The living image of such thing would be a transliteration of the character and composition of the energy it self into human form.
living image of aten
King Tutankhamun's name means "LIVING IMAGE OF ATEN".When King Tutankhamun was Prince his name was Tutankhaten. His name as a prince meant Living Image of Aten. When he became Pharaoh he changed his name to Tutankhamun, shifting focus from the god Aten, who his father, Akhenaten, worshipped, back to the god Amun.So as King, Tutankhamun's name means "Living Image of AMUN"
probably the first one is: The Name Tutankhamun means "The living image of Amen" or a God on Earth. His name had morphed from Aten to Amen. Technically Aten is the sun disk which was seen as a sacred aspect of Ra the Sun God.
King Tut's name at birth was Tutankhaten, meaning "Living Image of the Aten". His current name Tutankhamen means "Living Image of Amun". Hope this helps! :D
Either. It doesn't matter how you spell it. ----------------- both were his names but he changed amen to amun after polytheism was restored back in Egypt. so i guess technically, he died of with the name Tutankhamen (living image of amun rather than the living image of aten)
Aten refers to the sun disc, the physical sun, rather than the sun god
Living image of Amun.

What does "We don't want to be aten out there" mean
I'm not good with the spelling of ancient Egyptian names, but I will try to get this right. Excuse my poor spelling if I do not succeed. King Tut was born TutAnkAten which means "living image of Aten." Aten was the sun god of Tut's father Akasenaten. This was probably the first known monotheism. Akasenaten died, leaving 7-year-old Tut the throne. The people of Egypt pressured him into restoring the old religion, a polytheism, where the main god was Amun. His new name was Tutankamun or "Living image of Amun."
Tutankhamun's birth name from Tutankhaten, which means "living image of the Aten. His father had changed the religion of the country and the capital. When he became king, his advisors suggested he return to the old religion and a change of name back to the "living image of Amun."
