What does Luke chapter 12 verse 34 mean?

If you are seeking God and His Son and find Them, and get to know Them in your life; you have a feeling of total peace, comfort, happiness and belonging, because that is where your heart has been guiding you, to your creator.. Treasure = an experience between you and Them; NOT going to church, or doing as the priests tell you, but personally seeking to know Them yourself; that is the true treasure and that is where you will find your heart

Jesus tells His disciples to be vigilant, always ready for His return, for "the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." (1Thes 5:2) and "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." ( Mat 24:44) Being drunk as well as being too busy with work or other affairs of this life chokes our spiritual life and dulls spiritual perception. The words of this verse therefore come as a warning - don't get caught off guard!

A:Two consistent themes of Luke's Gospel and Acts of the Apostles, by the same author, is how admirable it is to be poor and how God will reward us if we give more to the church. In Luke 21:1-4, Jesus is portrayed as comparing the rich men, who gave much to the Temple treasury, with the poor woman who gave all she could, two small coins. Because the woman gave all she had, Jesus said that her offering was more to be valued than the large sums the rich men gave, since they could easily have afforded to give much more. Acts 5:1-11, the story of Ananias and Sapphira, suggests that the author expected Christians to give everything they had to the church.
