I think they are in 2 main places, near Staines (you can see them from the M4 & M25) & in the Lea valley in NE London, by Waltham Abbey.
about 73 miles going the most direct route along the M4 (EAST).
Terminal 5 is actually on the M25. All of the other terminals are on the M4 which is just off the M25.
According to google there are 3 routes you can take the A36 route will take you 2hours 14mins, the A357 route will take you 2hours 19mins and the M4 route will take you 2hours 33mins.
