All believers in the Lord Jesus, since His Resurrection, are formed into what is known as the body of Christ, or the church. The church is described as a body in Romans 12:4 and 1 Corinthians 12:12-27.
Just as a human body is the way by which the person expresses himself, so the Body of Christ is that vehicle which He has on earth by which He chooses to express Himself to the world. And He is the head of that body. The head speaks of guidance, dictation, control. He occupies the place of pre-eminence in the church.
This idea is also in:
Colossians 2:19
Ephesians 1:22,23
Ephesians 4:4,12,15,16
Ephesians 5:23 and 30.
Jesus chose Peter and not Paul asd firstly Paul came after Jesus death a, and secondly Jesus changed Simons name to Peter Which means rock . Jesus said on you Peter I will build my church on.
The head; as the Scriptures say in Colossians 1.18. "And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence."
Yes. "Christ is the head of the church." (Ephesians 5:23) "And he is the head of the body, the church." (Colossians 1:18) "Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ." (Ephesians 4:15)
Because the New Testament describes it that way. 1 Corinthians 12:27 - Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. Ephesians 1:22, 23 - And He [God] put all things under His feet, and gave Him [Jesus] to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Just as the physical body does what the brain directs, so the church is to do as Christ directs.
the tendons that hold up your head, and the Achilles tendon
its a holy place of worship ANSWER: The "church" is made up of believers in Jesus Christ. Individual persons make up the body of Christ and are called the "church" Jesus Christ is the Head of this body of believers.
We are actually under the direction of God the Almighty. Jesus is in subjection to his father. Then Jesus is the head of the Christian congregation.
Paul Head was born in 1965.
Loli dontknowThe Apostle Paul described the church as the Body of Christ. Christ being the Head. There are many Scriptures pertaining to this fact. Colossians 1:18, "And He (Christ) is the head of the body, the church........"

The crown of thorns was placed on his head and the heavy cross on his shoulder.
A:Although in his epistles Paul seems unaware that Jesus was a person who lived in Palestine in the recent past, as the gospels were to say a few decades later, he did write of Jesus as someone to be worshipped. This is conclusive evidence, if any is needed, that Paul was not Jesus. Answer:No, Paul was not actually Jesus. Paul (Saul) was a persecutor of the church (Acts 8:1-3, 9:1-2; 26:9-11; Phil. 3:6, Gal. 1:13), hardly something the Head (Jesus) of the church would engage in. Paul was converted by Jesus which led him to carry the Gospel to the Gentile world (Acts 9:15, 22:21, Gal. 1:1, Eph. 3:2-12). History has shown that Paul was the primary architect of Christian theology, having been tutored by God's Spirit in the significance of Jesus' death and the nature of the new life to be lived "in Christ."
