Your first day on Howrse is day 0, the second is day 1 and so on.
Not worked means that on that particular day, you have not done anything with that horse, or you have aged it since doing something with it.
The time on Howrse is measured in GMT (Greenwich mean time). Next to it in the top right hand corner of the page is your own local time. The horse's day passes quickly and is not related to real time. Updates occur each real day at 7-8am GMT.
