they never did try to move it to the fourth but they did call it armistice day when it first came to honor only the veterans who fought in world war 1 soon there was a man from emporia kansas who decided to change it to veterans day to honor all veterans because they knew that they were going to have many numerous wars to come. and if i remember right they did though try to move it to one date in october.
