just called rayban and they told me all original wayfarers have glass, not polycarbonate lenses.
Yes. It's one of the reasons why they are so expensive
No. Polarized cost about $100 more.
GSM label in RayBan sunglasses stands for Gradient Silver Mirror. This is mainly found in Polarized models, where the upper zone of the lens is darker than the bottom (in a gradient way), and the exterior side (opposite from where you look when wearing on them) has a silver mirror effect.
The G-15 XLT is a grey lens and the B-15 XLT a brown lens. Some history of the G-15 lens at the bottom of this page: http://www.bardoptical.com/html/sunglasses.html
A polarized lens cuts more reflected glare but the actual protection of polarized lenses and G15 lenses are the same. Polarized sunglass lenses reduce glare reflected off roads, bodies of water, snow, and other horizontal surfaces where the G15 lenses do not.
diamond hard lens price around 1k for new old stock (n.o.s) if you get wayfarer folding frame, pricing will be more.
It depends. Most large sunglass companies like RayBan install high-end sunglass lenses into their glasses and have been doing them for years.Do I think these lenses are better that the ones that are out now? No, but I think some eye protection is better than none.
Chloe Rayban's birth name is Carolyn Bear.
sunglasshut
well i just recently purchased a pair from my local pawn shop for 20 dollars but mine are black with raybans on the arms but not on the lenses it has a slant to the frame so idk i guess thats how?
# Polarized (reduce glare caused by light reflected from polarizing surfaces such as water.) # Non-Polarized# B15-XLT (Dark Brown) # G15-XLT (Dark Green) Some of the above can be plastic or glass. I'm not sure if the B15 & G15 XLT lenses are polarized; however, they do cost more money.
