I have one with a "50 Groschen", a flower going through the "0", on the obverse, and a shield on the reverse with the words "Republik Österreich" going around.
It sounds like it's from Austria. It should have the word Osterreich (German for "Austria") on it.
The best thing to do is have a dealer or collector look at the coin, is sounds like a coin that has been put between two other coins and pressed together causing the images on the coin in the middle especially if any lettering is backwards
coin like the penny is a coin.
You're correct, the gold plating means it's considered to be an altered coin. It's only worth 5¢ to a coin collector, but you might want to show it off as a conversation piece.
For starters you have to copy the wording accurately in order to search for it successfully. That should read "Bundesrepublik Deutschland", just like it says on the coin. There are a number of sites that give values, mintages, and other information. If you can read German, there's a link to one of the better sites below.
That depends on which coin, from where.
The value of a circulated 1972 and 1973 Republica Italiana coin typically ranges from $1 to $5, depending on the condition and denomination of the coin. Factors like rarity or mint mark can affect the value as well. Itβs recommended to consult with a coin dealer or appraiser for a more precise estimation.
I suggest you get a good coin book and search for your coin in there.
Same as a 1973 street car.
Can you be more specific? What denomination coin?
the coin has the president on it
Send it in to a coin grading service like PCGS.
