"C" Service is a minor service, the cost is typically around $300. The check list is virtually the same items as the "A" Service which include a synthetic oil change, brake inspection, tire inspection, lubrication of doors/safety catches/sunroof etc... The service adviser might recommend some preventative maintenance at this interval such as a coolant flush as many drivers will have accumulated close to 40,000 miles at this point.
I have a Fiat 500 and it suggests service every 5,000 miles and a major service at 30,000 miles.
Depending on the route (all routes are different obviously) and how hard the regular carrier works; the route could consist of 8 miles or it could consist of close to 15. I generally walk close to 15 miles a day. That is unless they have something else for me then it could get up to 18 miles.

The check engine light indicates the computer has found a fault and stored a fault code. Many auto parts stores will pull the code for free and tell you what may be causing the issue.
You do not need to replace this belt now. Replace at 80,000 miles or 10 years whichever comes first. This information can be found in your owner's manual. If you do not have one, then I suggest you get one. You need an owner's manual to know what items to service and when, and for specifications. You can order one from a dealer, find one at a salvage yard, ebay, or one of these sites: http://www.carownermanual.com/ http://vehicleownersmanual.com/ http://www.vintage-books.com/owncat.htm
