A Toyota Hybrid vehicle requires gasoline to run. It employs a conventional petrol engine alongside (usually) two electric motors and a HV (High Voltage) battery. It automatically switches between the petrol engine and the electric motors (or both simultaneously using a hybrid transaxle) in order to create drive.
Toyota has 3 hybrid vehicles, the Prius, a Camry hybrid and a Highlander hybrid.
