Digestive enzymes are the oozings that bladderwort plants use to dissolve bugs. The carnivorous plants in question (Utricaria spp) employ aminopeptidase and phosphatase in higher or lower levels with higher or lower pH readings according to ecosystems and to species. For example, trap fluid pH may range from an acidic 4.1 to an alkaline 7.3, and phosphatase tends to predominate among European species.

Ooze is a type of monster in Dungeons & Dragons that typically has the ability to engulf and consume its prey. Oozes often have the ability to corrode or dissolve objects they come into contact with. They are usually immune to critical hits and can regenerate health.
It is normal. Eventually it will go away. You can dissolve the ooze in hydrogen peroxide if you wish, or soak your nipple in a mild saline solution (this is awkward to do, but much gentler, less painful and less likely to cause scarring) to break down the crusties formed by dried up ooze. If the ooze is green and strongly smells foul, you have an infection and need to see someone about it.
The Ooze was created in 1995.
