blue light can kill plants because the light is too dark for plants to absorb. also, the plant cant absorb much light in blue light. last week, i tried an experiment and in 10 lessons at school, its died when it was covered in blue cellophane as light.
yes. Actinic light give off a large amount of blue light which is needed for vegetative growth.
Because the red and blue light give off a frequency that the plants are tuned to and that energizes the plant, just like a radio needs its own frequencies to play music, a plant needs its color freqencies for growth. 680nm and 430nm . Both of which are found in a Hydrogen light!
A plant does give off Carbon Dioxide at night when there is not enough light for photosynthesis to occur.
No a plant will die and shrink because of the UV rays that the black light give off.
blue light
Depends on what kind of plant. Plants with red and yellow leaves, such as maple, absorb more blue light. I use a blue LED light for my herbs growing. And my herbs are growing well. http://www.yescomusa.com/product.php?productid=597&cat=130&page=1
Plant cells can give off oxygen when photosynthesis occurs. They give out carbon dioxide when they respire when there is no light available.
No. Sun produces a white light which makes living carbon-fused lifeforms live. The sun reflects light off a plant and that gives it light.
Red and blue light is absorbed from the Sun. Green light is reflected off the plant.
yes it does give off light
The phrase 'give off light' means to have a lot of light.
Planets and Moons only reflect light, they do not 'give off light'.
