Day or Night
Crayfish
if its a young crayfish and a big cichlid itll eat the crayfish if the crayfish is a adult they will pick on each other as long as the cichlid isn't big enough to put the crayfish in its mouth and the cichlid isn't slow enough for a crayfish to catch
Crayfish don't hunt and catch fish. They tend to be nocturnal and prowl around at night picking up whatever they can grab. If a fish happens to be sleeping/resting on the bottom and a crayfish comes by, it would not be unusual for a crayfish to make a grab at the fish and rip a piece off it.
Yes. They take fish and frogs as their diet.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crayfish At night, some fish become less energetic and settle to the bottom. The crayfish might see this as a chance for an easy meal, or a threat, and injure or kill the fish with its claws. Crayfish are effective scavengers and will consume fish carcasses. They sometimes will consume an exoskeleton after it is molted.
Crayfish are known as both crayfish and yabbies in Australia. "Yabbies" are freshwater crayfish, often found in rivers, creeks and dams in rural areas.
