The Dachshund is an easily recognisable breed with a long body and very short legs. They are usually either black and tan, blonde, brown or dapple grey and Miniatures are only a few inches tall at the shoulder. They have hound-like ears and long tails. They come in three different coat varieties: Longhaired, Shorthaired and Wirehaired.
I have a dachshund/labrador mix named Paxton. We adopted him from the SPCA. He looks like a miniature lab. He has a long body like a dachshund, similar ears and paws. You can see both breeds in his face. He is a beautiful dog. Very quiet, never barks! If you come across this rare breed I suggest you get him/her.
My dachsund can run 30km/h or 18m/h (as far as I tested)
