well to be honest unless it is severely deformed or the bone is sticking out there is nothing much the hospital will do all they can do is tell you that you have broken it and strap it up. so the best thing you can do is to keep it immobile and to strap it up to another finger at the top with tape.If you are concerend though do go to your g.p ,walk in or hospital.

∙ 12y agoGenerally, for a broken finger, if you go to the doctor, they rinse the finger(s) in cold water. Usually, a medical splint or medical tape is used to bandage and rap the finger. But since you can do all this from home, just ask your parents, if the finger's not too bad, then you don't need to go to the hospital. Go to your local drugstore and buy a splint and some medical tape. But if your finger is terribly bruised and such, then please! GO TO THE DOCTOR!

∙ 11y agoThey examine your hand and finger. Then they take x-rays to confirm if there is a fracture. Depending on what type of fracture they put a splint on the finger. some fractures require surgery

∙ 11y agoGo to the doctors obviously, they will give you a splint. Before that you can use two lolly sticks and medical tape to create your own splint, that's what I did when I fractured my finger.
