Cricket come out of egg. And looks like a very small white transparent cricket. The cricket grows and molds a couple of times. It grows outside its exoskeleton a bit like a snake does. It does this several times. (I think up to 13 times.) Until it is an adult cricket.
Mosquitoes are not born, they hatch from eggs that float in small clusters. The newly hatched mosquito (sometimes called a wriggler) resembles a small "L" when it isn't wiggling. See the link for a picture. The pic is near the bottom.

Malaria was the most common mosquito-borne illness in New Guinea.
The adult mosquito lays it's eggs in water. The egg hatches into a larva, and the larva feeds on organisms in the water. Then when the larva matures into a mosquito, the mosquito flies around and feeds on organism's blood.

In fact... the mosquito population is 65%.. and 45% ratio black to white... in certain rare occasions.. the black mosquito's will sodomize the honky mosquito's and create a new breed of off-gray mosquito's.
If you go to the garden section of WalMart you can probably find these things that look like small, gray doughnuts, the package will have something with mosquitoes on it I think. You take them home and put 1 in your rain bucket. The doughnut will kill the mosquito larva, and should last a while, but it will dissolve. Once it does just put a new one in if necessary.
Some places without mosquito populations are the Seychelles, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Iceland.
There are Asian Tiger mosquitos in Rhode Island, New York, and Pennsylvania. In addition, there are Asian Tiger mosquito populations in New Jersey.
