The best way to find out would be to look up a picture, but river otters generally are brown with a lighter patch on their stomachs. they have short legs with webbed feet, long streamlined bodies and long very powerful tails. they have white whiskers and round heads with small ears. when on land they walk with an arched back in kind of a lollop, and slide on their bellies.
