Inside a transmission, a shaft typically appears as a cylindrical metal rod that serves to transmit power and torque between various components. It may have splines or gears at either end to connect with the input and output parts of the transmission. The shaft often has a smooth surface for proper rotation and may include bearings to reduce friction. Overall, it is designed to withstand significant stress while enabling efficient power transfer.
It is inside of the transmission bellhousing, You can't see it until you remove the transmission.
Slide in under the truck on the drivers side and look at the transmission tail shaft ( That is were the drive shaft slides into the transmission ) you will see an electronic device bolted into the side of the tail shaft. It will have a electric connector plugged into it.
No I would take off the cap and look through the hole
on starters that have the solenoid mounted on them, the link is a fork like piece between the solonoid and the starter clutch, which is on the motor shaft. on starters that dont have the solenoid on the starter, it just has a overrunning clutch on the motor shaft
what dose a 1999 Alero transmission look like.
You will have to remove the transmission and then look inside of the bellhousing and you will see the slave cylinder bolted in with 2 10mm bolts. remove the 2 bolts and slide the slave cylinder off the jack shaft.
it looks like a black square
crank shaft sensor or(ckp) is look like a simple sensor.its color is black.its lenth is two inches.GILL G
Sounds like a cv shaft that is bad, the joint in particular. If you look under the car, going to both front wheels there will be a shaft going from the transmission to the wheels. At each end of the shaft will be boots, you probably have one that opened up some time ago.
If you're talking about the VSS, it's located at the top of the transmission, above the transmission output shaft. It looks like a probe, but you're only going to see the top of it until you remove it.
Usually on the V6 Sonata's they are located under the hood. Look to the right of your engine and look down at the transmission itself. There should be a "spin on" filter, kind of like the one for your engine. if not then your filter is located inside the actual transmission.
