The pinch welds under the car indicate where you put the jack to change the tire on a 1999 Olds Alero. Look under the rocker panels.
This is what Aarón Miguel Alero Amilián looked like as a baby, adorable
I have a 2002 alero how do you reset, the coolant light is always on. Thanks, Alero owner
There is no dipstick as you known them. There is a little plug you unscrew on the transmission. I believe it is either yellow or red. just so you know its red open hood look to the very bottom on right side undr all that stuff you'll see it
look at the data/spec decal on the inside of the driver's door post.

Well, let's not worry too much, friend. It sounds like your Oldsmobile Alero might be experiencing some transmission issues, but it's nothing we can't handle. I suggest taking it to a trusted mechanic who can take a look and help you get that overdrive back in no time. Remember, every little problem is just a happy little accident waiting to be fixed.
It is located on the right side of the engine near the rear. If you take a look at the near the base of the engine there is a red cap and that is it.
Look for information on 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0L as well. (Same vehichle.)
