To be honest there is not really any such thing as a tuneup anymore. If you follow your owner's manual on the scheduled maintanence at the prescribed times, then you are doing what is needed. If you go into a shop and ask for a tune up you will probably only get the spark plugs changed. Maybe plug wires and an air filter. That is very true, But if a shop is honest they will check to see if any repairs are truly needed and not just "I THINK I NEED A TUNEUP" In Most cases the Service Engine Soon light is On and their friend said to tune it up. I personally own a repair shop and I would not allow my technicians do any unessary repairs. I have 23 years with the Better Business Bureau and not a single complaint.
