an organelle, located in the cell's cytoplasm, that is the site of protein synthesis.

It is actually a protein consisting of 2 parts. These 2 "parts" clamp down on strands of messenger RNA in the cytoplasm and "translate" the information from the mRNA into proteins. They do this by alligning up the proper amino acids, as coded for by the RNA, into their proper sequence and sticking them together. This precise string of amino acids then folds into a protein.

The ribosome is far more than 2 proteins. The ribosome is composed of two subunits, a small and large. Each of these subunits are composed of many proteins and rRNA.

They are the most weirdest thing ever. it is in your body and makes you walk and talk so that is what it is any doubts contact bergre and grenn 1800 my lemon
