A larger filter has more filter material can last a little longer. Smaller filters will do the same job. But have less material to filter with.

The PF47 is the old design filter and the PF47e is the newe OEM design. The new filter is slightly smaller and is to be used in 2010 vehicle and newer where design constraints prohibit the use of the larger PF47 filter. It is also supposed to be more environmentally friendly.

yes it will work and is a good idea to use one if you are going to be driving lots o dusty climets back roads off roads or lots of shot trips i run them on the 4.3s that i own and a 2.5 s10 and i am happy with them so far
Standard small block Chevy with the regular oil filter adapter (stock). This is the one quart oil filter.
Depends on what brand you buy. Any auto parts store will sell you the correct size filter, just ask. If you use an AC/Delco OEM filter it requires a PF47.
