When neutralization takes place what plus water is formed?

When acid reacts with base, this reaction forms water and salt, this proccess is known as neutrilization. and the reverse reaction in which salt reacts with water to form an acid and a base is known as hydrolysis.

What reaction occurs when a acid and base combine?

When an acid and base combine, they undergo a neutralization reaction to form water and a salt. The acid donates a proton to the base, forming water, while the remaining ions from the acid and base combine to form a salt. This reaction results in the formation of a neutral solution.

What is the reactions of acid and base?

When an acid reacts with a base, they neutralize each other to form water and a salt. This is known as a neutralization reaction. The pH of the resulting solution will be closer to 7, indicating a neutral solution.

What are the products of neutrilization?

products of neutralization are: water and salt (acidic, basic or neutral) You will nee a base and an acid. If you choose a strong base, then you must use a strong base to neutralize it. You must also remember to add a fitting indicator, like BTB or Phenolphtalein. You will also need appropriate lab equipment.

How do you obtain sodium chloride by neutrilization reaction of hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide?

To obtain sodium chloride, you would need to mix hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide together in a controlled manner so that they neutralize each other. This reaction will form sodium chloride (table salt) and water as the products. The sodium chloride can then be isolated by evaporating the water to obtain solid salt crystals.
