convection
I think you mean why does hot sand heat the air by convection... The sand is heated by the sun, and the air is touching the sand, which is hot, so by convection, the sand is heating the air.
It was heated by convection currents
free convection : the transfer of heat resulting from differences in density of air, that thereby causes the flow of air. mechanical convection the transfer of heat resulting from a blower or fan that actively forces heated air throughout all areas
When the air inside a hot air ballon is heated the hot air rises, which makes the ballon rise hope i helped ;)
A spoon over a fire would would be heated from convection, because convection is when hot air rises and cold air falls which is known as a convection current.
movement of air (HEATED)
It's heated through the convection currents.
convection
During the day, the land by the sea is heated by the sun. Through convection, this heated air rises upward and then in order to replace this heated air, cooler air is drawn from the surface of the sea, creating a sea breeze.
I think you mean why does hot sand heat the air by convection... The sand is heated by the sun, and the air is touching the sand, which is hot, so by convection, the sand is heating the air.
The convection current can't form if heated at the top because then, the hot air would just keep getting hotter; no air moves around.
Convection currents
Convection current Convection current
Yes, when heat travels by convection the energy is transferred by the circulation of a heated fluid, such as air or water.
which diagram correctly indicates why convection currents form in water when water is heated
Currents that form in heated air are similar to currents that form in warm water because heated air goes up and cold air goes down creating convection currents.
