It depends on your definition of 'life'. To sustain life as we know it, you need oxygen, warmth, food, liquid water and an ecosystem that self perpetuates enough oxygen and other gasses in order for life to survive. HOWEVER - There's nothing to say that life couldn't exist in other forms throughout the universe !
