Anyway you want to, Indie is independent!
you don't really become indie. you just are indie. of course there are things that indie people do so if you want to find out whether you are indie just see whether you do those things. if you like indie music and dress like indie then you are indie but you cannot 'become' indie. Also, see
A girl which likes indie music (my kind of girl) :) She would dress in the indie fashion of the day but this varies a lot. Kind of like a toned down rocker chick :)
Being an individual is the true meaning. But indie people are big on clothes and also they dont give a s--- about how they dress. They often wear what is big in fashion right now but true indie people dont have a style as they wear whatever the f--- they want to. People that listen to indie music are indie, if you dress like an indie person but dont listen to indie music then you are a fake attention seeker. You migh think indies are attention seekers but real indies are often shy and don't go over the top telling you that they are cooler than you, even though they are 100% sure that they are cooler than whoever they talk to. When indie people talk about music they can yell out 100s of bands you have never heard or thought existed. Fake indies go over the top promoting an already famous band that has an indie sound to it. Indie people seem happy, that because they are, their music is upbeat and makes you wanna jump around and plus they know everyone wants to be like them. It is hard being indie, you cant just dress indie, you need to be a natural and not even realise it, once people see that you fit the indie criteria, they will shout out indie when ever they see you and are really happy to have a indie friend. And indie people are really really smart.
Only that that style of dress in not typical and more origanial----earthtones
Hrm.... I think so... I like indie music.. and wear thrift threads... which is stereotypically indie... so... Yes. I believe I am an indie child.
*You can't define an indie dress sense purely because they all dress so differently. I would start with some vintage shoes and probably natural hair. Don't wear too much or any make up or wear the stupid prep glasses that everyone wears. Wear a lot of vintage clothes or don't shop in places like primark, new look, topshop etc. because those shops are for the chavs. To get a rough idea, dress differently to everyone you see and take inspiration form films like 500 days of summer and little quirky films in general. Also, try and look as if you've made no effort because generally, indie kids do and they always look good for it.
That depends on the boys taste. Some boys may or may not like indie girls.
You cant, an indie haircut on an non-indie person isnt an indie hair cut, indie haircuts make people jelous but they dont stand out as the lone feature of that person. Getting what you fell like and not copying others is your first step to being indie, or you can take the easy way and copy others and eventually fail at being indie.
Its possible
