First, determine that God has called you to the ministry.

Second, decide what sort of minister you would like to become.

Third, connect with that group of people and find out what they require.

For Christians, here is a link to a great interdenominational ordination body: http://www.nacministers.com

Become a Jehovah's Witness as all Baptized Active Publishers are legally considered ministers. On occasion, they have to remind the older ladies of the congregation not to use their credentials to see one of them whose hospitalized and in ICU, where only family members and one's minister can visit.

Nothing other than having proof of your ordination or license.

Persons authorized to perform weddings in Texas include licensed or ordained Christian ministers, priests, Jewish rabbis, officers authorized by religious organizations, justices of the supreme court, judges of the court of criminal appeals, justices of the courts of appeals, judges of the district, county, and probate courts, judges of the county courts at law, judges of the courts of domestic relations, judges of the juvenile courts, retired justices or judges, justices of the peace, retired justices of the peace, and judges or magistrates of a federal court of Texas. They must mail the marriage license in within thirty days of the license being purchased. The license is valid in Texas for 30 days.
